The most extensive gallery of everything lovely at Paris Haute Couture Week

26 January 2018

The haute couture for spring summer 2018 has been nothing short of spellbinding.

Designers were in full bloom this season, elevating the whimsical charm of couture to unprecedented heights. Many designers went outside the box this time round, exploring new fabrics to craft unique illusions. For example, Schiaparelli chose to weave shredded plastic shopping bags into silk, celebrating the house’s affection towards the avant-garde side of couture.

For those of you that need reminding, the twice-yearly couture shows are intended as a statement of strength and technical ability – in other words,  it’s a forum for fashion designers to demonstrate their most elaborate ideas where budget is no limit to ambition.

From Chanel, Dior and Elie Saab through to Valentino and Zuhair Murad, scroll for your most extensive look at this year’s most delectable designs.
