Luxury department store David Jones is finally coming to Auckland

Iconic Australian department store David Jones has just announced they will be opening their second New Zealand store in Auckland.

As a part of the redevelopment of Westfield Newmarket, David Jones Auckland is set to bring a curation of the best New Zealand and international designers to the Auckland market. Making your shopping experience bigger, better and a hell of a lot more tempting.

The arrival of David Jones and the redevelopment of Westfield Newmarket is set to turn the area into a world-class retail and lifestyle experience housing over 230 speciality stores. In addition to retail names we all know and love, there will be new-to-market brands launching their New Zealand retail presence, as well as a rooftop lifestyle, dining and entertainment precinct and a new format Farmers department store, all set over four-and-a-half hectares.

David Jones CEO David Thomas says, “We know New Zealanders are well travelled and fashion savvy with an appetite for international brands and world-class shopping experiences. We are focused on exceeding these expectations when we open our first Auckland store.”

The Westfield Newmarket development is set for completion at the end of 2019.
