Everyone knows that black, white and metallics are red carpet fail-safes, but what if you want to stand out from the crowd?
At the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on Monday it wasn’t so much a case of standing out as blending in – to the magenta carpet that is. Call it grape, burgundy, merlot or just plain old purple, there were pops of this super pretty hue wherever you looked. Kesha’s Prince-inspired Gucci suit and matching gold heeled loafers made her best dressed in our books, but not gonna’ lie, we were also partial to Keke Palmer’s purple latex look (Kim K you’ve got a lot to answer for!) .
Scared of looking like a human eggplant? Kirsten Bell and Demi Lovato both proved an indigo accent can lift an all black ensemble to another level.
