Celebrities wearing bomber jackets

Who wore it best? Celebs in bomber jackets

14 March 2016

Our expert panel dissects the latest trends being worn by the celebs.

THE PANEL:

Kate Peck

Kate Peck (MTV Australia VJ): “I go seriously bananas for bomber jackets. We all need several in our lives. Our grandmas should have one, our brothers, even our cats and dogs should have one. Ellie Goulding rocks the sock off hers in her US-baseball chic. I’m also a big fan of Kanye’s colour-and-leather combination. And, as Hailey Baldwin shows us, you can even rock one with a button up shirt and skirt combo.”

Ash Williams

Ash Williams (comedian): “What to say about these bomber jackets, except that if you are wearing one you are most certainly not in the Air Force and instead more likely a middle-aged man trying to look 21. I particularly enjoy Zac Efron’s bomber, which complements his heeled-boot and the pole up his backside.  Kanye is so relaxed in his that he’s fallen asleep with his eyes wide open and Kim K’s only wearing hers because Kanye is (or vice versa). Finally, you can pretty much tell from Joe Jonas’ expression that he has absolutely no idea what he’s wearing and is walking around in a daze after the whole Gigi Hadid situation…”

Alissa Thomas

Alissa Thomas (CLEO Australia fashion director): “The classic baseball jacket can be home run, but it all depends on how you style it. This season,  I love the motorcycle vibe so Demi and KK are my girl winners. For the boys, Drake and Pharrell nail it, and as much as it pains me to say it, Kanye’s hoodie-layering is styled to perfection. My no-way awards go to Ashley and Joe. Those tights. That shirt. Serious fashion fail.”
