At 22, the photographer, stylist, creative consultant and director of Shinebythree.com has achieved more than most fashionistas do in a lifetime. Here, she talks style, beauty and reveals how she maintains a life of balance.
What is your approach to finding balance between work, studies, family and relationships?
Focus on the most important thing at hand at any given point in time – there’s no point stressing yourself out trying to do five things at one time. Make a list, tick things off.
What makes you feel empowered?
When readers reach out or approach me day-to-day and ask for advice on a range of topics, ask me questions about a particular job I worked on or a particular post I wrote – I think that degree of trust and the level of responsibility I feel to speak authentically to their interests and concerns is super empowering.
Who makes you feel empowered?
My mother has always been such an advocate for honing the tools you need to grow and succeed, rather than stressing too much about the success itself. I think that’s such an empowering attitude.
What attracted you to Witchery Balance?
I think it’s an important message that people should be able to incorporate wellbeing into their everyday routine, without it being a chore or an extra thing to tick off.
What do you love about the range?
It’s comfortable – that’s the key to confidence and style and the rest of it, right? Being comfortable in your skin and your clothes.
Would you wear the range for the evening?
I’m all for a cropped top under a razor sharp blazer with a high-waisted evening skirt or trousers!
How would you describe your personal style?
Man-tailored with one feminine element.
What drives you and your ambition?
I want to be constantly learning, developing my skills, meeting new people and being inspired. I never want to feel like I’m stagnant in what I do.
With so much travelling, how do you incorporate fitness and wellness into your daily life?
I try and fit in half an hour a day while I’m away, and an hour a day while I’m at home – you don’t need a fancy gym or complicated equipment at all. There’s a great girl on Youtube, Cassey Ho, who runs blogilates and she has super effective 10 minute workouts that you just piece together depending on how much time you have.
Who is a woman in motion to you?
Someone who forges her own path, and pursues her goals rather than waiting for things to come to her.
