Ready, steady, click!
While Black Friday and Cyber Monday coincide with words like chaos and panic in the United States, we have the privilege in little old New Zealand to participate in a less-stressful version of the shopping frenzy – and much of it from afar.
Wine in hand and laptop at the ready, we don’t have to wade through the maze of other shoppers or deal with regret purchases made in a moment of panic – well, most of the time.
And let’s also not forget the added benefit that we’re ahead of the US and UK time zones, so we roughly get an extra day to save.
Overall, we’re quite lucky that we get to reap the benefits of this mega event, which gives the organised buyer a moment to grab Christmas gifts – or for the rest of us simply an excuse to treat oneself.
So go on, get in quick because if this year turns out anything like the stats from 2016, we’ll be competing with thousands of international shoppers who spent $3.34 billion online during Black Friday last year, according to Adobe.
And to keep you ahead of the game, we’ve pulled together a guide of the best deals for 2017 and the items on our wishlists.
Bring it on and let the shopping madness begin!
