Gigi Hadid 2016 Fashion Awards

The best red carpet style at the 2016 Fashion Awards

7 December 2016

There’s no red carpet quite as stylish as the Fashion Awards.

And the biggest night in British fashion certainly delivered the goods, with a turnout to London’s Royal Albert Hall that included red carpet royalty Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne, Georgia May Jagger and David Beckham.

The rebranded event (previously the British Fashion Awards) celebrates those who have shaped fashion this year, both in the UK and further afield. Ralph Lauren was presented the Outstanding Achievement Award by David Beckham and Alexander McQueen, lead by creative director Sarah Burton, won British Brand of the Year. Meanwhile, British Vogue capped off a huge centenary year by taking away a Special Recognition Award.

But it was always going to be Gigi Hadid’s night, with the supermodel winning the coveted International Model of the Year title, despite some tough competition (including from younger sister Bella, who was also nominated). She tearfully accepted the award from Donatella Versace, wearing a stunning lilac Versace jumpsuit that we must say is one of the best things we’ve seen on the red carpet in a long time!
