Whether you know it or not, Natalie Massenet is the woman almost single-handedly responsible for your online shopping obsession.
Massenet started NET-A-PORTER.COM – the global luxury shopping website – from her West London flat in 2000, before online shopping was even a thing. (Can you remember those days? We try not to.)
People laughed at her, telling her it would never work: “Most people believed that women would never, nor should they ever, buy designer clothes online. All of this would soon change,” she says on one of her Instagram accounts @nataporter_mystorysofar.
But 15 years later, she has built the business into a global behemoth that has turned over NZ$1.2 billion and is set to keep growing between 20-25 percent each year.
With today’s big news of Massenet resigning from the company she so successfully built (and that has seen her become one of the wealthiest and most successful women in the United Kingdom), we decided to take a closer look at the wardrobe of this ultimate #GirlBoss and all-round style icon.
