Seek inspiration from the SS17 collections and consider your new-season wardrobe sorted

1. Rock the block

We’re calling colour-blocking summer’s top trend to try. Channel your inner traffic light and you’ll stop everyone in their tracks.

2. Skin is in

With the boudoir-dressing trend here to stay, bralettes and bandeaus offer an ab-fab alternative to more risqué lingerie.

3. Corporate is cool

The warmer weather makes us all hot under the collar, but don’t lose your shirt. Get creative with your corporate attire and give new meaning to business casual.

4. Disco diva it up

Forget dressing down to hit the town. It’s all about plunging necklines and Studio 54 sequins. Or go for gold – you’ll look lamé-zing.

5. Keep your ear to the ground

Grand, graphic, and a little bit gaudy, over-the-top earrings are the accessory you need now. Swap out your studs and get set to make a statement.

6. It’s all about the fashion flashback

Special occasion coming up? Embrace the ’80s with a poufy prom dress in a flammable-looking fabric. Trust us, it’s the power-suit of the party season.

7. Think global citizen

Whether you’re vacationing or stay-cationing, busy prints in floaty fabrics are your ticket to a worldly wardrobe.

8. Do the logo-motion with me

Label-bashing might be the calling card of the nouveau riche, but the key is in the merchandising: mix high-end with low and you’re good to go.

9. hannel Marabou Barbie

It’s the trimming that’s currently tickling our fancy. Don’t be chicken – pick up your plumage game and watch the feathers fly.

10. Do the purp-walk

From metallic mauve gowns to violet velvet suiting, purple proved popular on the SS17 runways – the masculine shapes and edgy textures negating any priss-factor.
