Once the FQ Fashion Awards awards ceremony came to a close, it was time at last for our models to hit the catwalk. Walking to an upbeat mix by DJ duo Jupiter Project, guests were treated to fifteen striking looks styled by finalist Courtney Joe from a plethora of our favourite local New Zealand designers.
Highlights included a sheer black gown by Adrion Atelier, this year’s Emerging Designer of the Year, and a structured metallic dress by Designer of the Year, Rory William Docherty. The runway also featured stunning pieces from Juliette Hogan, Rachel Mills, Wynn Hamlyn, Zambesi, Maggie Marilyn, Ruby, and many more, celebrating the diversity and creativity of New Zealand fashion.
Below, access their behind-the-scenes beauty getting ready in the chic suites of Intercontinental Auckland where Shark Beauty hair stylists were on standby to tame the models’ tresses into deep, slick side parts. Followed by a wash of chrome coloured pigment on the eyelids and lips by make-up artists in the Sephora Suite which came to life on the runway.
