For multidisciplinary artist Sarah Jayne Kavali, creativity isn’t confined to the canvas. It lives and breathes in every corner of her home — a constantly shifting space filled with works in progress, moments of experimentation, and instinctive expression. “I’m drawn to responding to space — to walls, to different rooms,” she says. “At home, the space is constantly changing. I’m always putting things up, taking things down. I really love to live within the pieces I’m creating.”
This fluidity and freedom is something she also finds in jewellery — particularly in the bold craftsmanship of Bvlgari. In a new visual collaboration with the house, Kavali wears select pieces from two of its most iconic collections: B.zero1 and Serpenti.
With its sculptural curves and clean architectural lines, the B.zero1 collection invokes Italian innovation and is inspired by the marvel that is Rome’s Colosseum — reimagined through a modern lens. Like Kavali’s own work, it defies convention, embracing form, tension, and volume. “I love to work with metal,” she shares. “So the ability to adorn my body in these pieces feels beautiful.”
In contrast, the Serpenti collection draws on mythology and mystique, transforming the symbolic serpent into a dazzling motif that exudes a captivating charm. There’s an innate power in the way these pieces wrap, shimmer, and move — a perfect complement to Kavali’s artistic sensibility.
Together, the artist and the Maison celebrate the freedom to create without boundaries — to shape, to adorn, and to express the self in bold, brilliant form.
