After several style spots on Chanel front rows this year – most recently, at last week’s Haute Couture show in Paris – it’s merely been a case of when, not if, we would see Lily-Rose Depp in a Chanel campaign.

All has finally been revealed, with the 16-year-old daughter of Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis hand-picked by Karl Lagerfeld as the ambassador of Chanel’s pearl eyewear collection. “Lily-Rose is stunning, she’s a young girl from a new generation with all the qualities of a star,” says Lagerfeld in a statement.

Karl has famously tapped all the coolest ‘It’ girls to step into the role of Chanel muse – from Lily Allen to Alice Dellal to Kristen Stewart. So it is no surprise the gorgeous, social media-savvy Lily-Rose is the latest in line, especially given her mother has been an ambassador of the house since 1990.

Pearl sunglasses and Lily-Rose Depp: As of today, officially our two favourite things EVER.
