The new ‘Double G’

This new design stands out for two reasons: the first being the reintroduction of the Double G with a twisted torchon finish surrounded by a ring detail – a new emblem of Gucci. The second, is the detachable printed silk scarf handle which can be worn in several ways on the bag or removed and worn on its own.

Gucci Zumi

We’ve known Zumi for a while now, but in case you missed her… This ladylike bag takes its name from actress and experimental musician Zumi Rosow, who walked the Spring Summer 2019 runway carrying the bag. An elegant merging of two historical Gucci motifs — the interlocking ‘GG’ and horsebit hardware — the Gucci ‘Zumi’ is a contemporary classic in an impressive and rare gold-and-silver colour combination.

Houndstooth honey

Houndstooth has quite an extensive history, gaining huge popularity in the 50s and back again for Gucci Fall Winter 2019 with a fresh take. The classic black and white graphic pattern is seen throughout the collection, but refashioned in different scales and presented on unexpected silhouettes.

Gold Rush

Jewellery this season was in part inspired by the 24-karat goldwork ‘Fashion Fiction #1’ by artist Eduardo Costa, 1966 (published in Vogue US, February 1968).
Metal ear jackets and brooches mimicking anatomical features toil with the idea of showing and hiding who we are, to protect the kindness and beauty within. Sculptural styles, like the geometric earrings created from hammered metal, are enriched with multicolored smooth cabochon glass stones.
