As another fashion month draws to a close in the ‘big four’, it feels like an appropriate time to reflect not only on the fashion we’ve seen, but on the array of fresh beauty looks too.

We’re always looking for ways to reinvigorate our beauty routines, and what better way than to look to the runways for inspiration?

From vampy purple lips to classic smokey eyeliner, this season’s beauty trend roundup is easily achievable for those at home. So without further ado, here are six of the most eye-catching beauty trends from this fashion month and the products you can use to recreate them.

1. Smokey liner

Nothing quite makes a statement like a sultry smokey eye. Seen at the likes of Dior and Etro, smudged liner has an effortless ‘lived-in’ feel that makes it the perfect grungey party look.

Get the look: Simply grab a black kohl pencil and gently line the upper lash line (and the lower too, if you’re wanting the full effect) then diffuse with a small brush.

2. Luminous skin

‘No-make-up make-up’ is certainly not a new revelation in beauty, but it’s a look we keep going back to for a reason. Airbrushed, dewy skin and the lightest touch of gloss on the lips or cheeks is all one needs to look polished, according to designers like Zimmermann and Sacai.

Get the look: To achieve a flawless dewy finish on the skin while still getting some coverage, consider investing in a product like Nars Light Reflecting Foundation or a similar buildable foundation. After completing your skincare, take a pea sized amount of product to begin with and buff out using a foundation brush. Add more as required. For added shine add a touch of clear gloss or glitter-free highlight to the high points of the face.

3. Vampy lips

Channel your inner Morticia Addams with a bit of gothic glam this autumn. Berry-coloured lips were everywhere at fashion month, with everything from ombré to solid purple pouts on display. When paired with minimal skin and eye make-up, you can truly make the lips the star of the show.

Get the look: Take your favourite cool-toned purple matte lipstick and apply to the centre of the lips, using your finger to diffuse the colour out.

4. Metallic eyes

As we discovered from NYFW’s street style roundup, metallic is having a major trending moment, in both fashion and beauty. Seen on the runway at Schiatzy Chen were minimalistic silver and gold accents on the model’s eyes, adding a touch of futuristic sparkle to their otherwise simple make-up.

Get the look: Best achieved with a liquid glitter or shimmer eyeshadow, try dabbing a small amount of shadow in the inner corner, outer corner, or under the lower lash line and blend with your finger if needed.

5. Ace your base

Each fashion month, models are jetsetting between major cities and rushing between runways. Which begs the question: how do they maintain their radiant skin amidst the chaos? Turns out, Sunday Riley, who returned as the official skincare partner for the 4th season at Milano Fashion Week, hero products were behind the beautiful beauty bases at the likes of Alberta Ferretti, Roberto Cavalli, Max Mara, Philosophy and Tokyo James.

Get the look: To get the skin runway ready, they begin with their Ceramic Slip Cleanser followed by their Good Genes All-in-One Lactic Acid Treatment to plump, exfoliate, brighten and clarify; Auto Correct Eye Cream to brighten and lift the eye area; and to finish this runway-ready routine, they apply their C.E.O. Afterglow Brightening Vitamin C Gel Cream for 24 hours of continuous hydration to firm, plump and brighten the skin.

6. Bleached brows

It seems like every few years we move onto yet another brow trend. From full to feathered to the latest bleached look, there’s always something new to try with your eyebrows. If Balmain’s FW23 show was anything to go by, the ethereal-alien aesthetic is extremely en vogue right now.

Get the look: For those brave enough to commit to bleaching, a simple bleach and toner combo from your local chemist should do the trick (you can always tint them back!).
