Gracing wrists since 1952, the applauded OMEGA Constellation is a range of watches steeped in rich history. Long thought of as a style statement, the first iconic ladies’ design arrived in 1982, and has since evolved with dazzling new models, such as the “My Choice” collection in 1996, which was designed with the help of supermodel Cindy Crawford.

The original Constellation was revolutionary in style, veering away from the style of the times. Today’s hallmarks include a star on the watch face, half-moon facets at the top and bottom of the case, “claws” that grip to the bezel, and a slender single-link bracelet.

The Geneva Observatory symbol on the caseback is perhaps the Constellation’s most notable hallmark. Depicting the outline of the observatory, crowned by a constellation of eight stars, the symbol is a nod to prestigious historic wristwatch contests held during the 20^th century, where OMEGA showcased its excellence in chronometry by setting world precision records.

Supermodel and OMEGA brand ambassador Cindy Crawford played a part in the design of the “My Choice” ladies’ Constellation in 1996. Speaking about the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, Crawford explains, “I had the chance from the very beginning, to have input on the design of the Constellation watches and I’m proud of the fact that OMEGA is now, along with all of its technical accomplishments, considered to be a fashionable watchmaker”.

Crawford went on to launch the next significant development in the Constellation collection, the Constellation Quadra at the Louvre in Paris in 1999, the first-ever Constellation with a square case.

Enduring in popularity with watch wearers everywhere, the unique Constellation style has continued to evolve across the years and is now in its 5th Generation — an update that was first welcomed in 2018.

Alongside Crawford, modern tastemakers and brand ambassadors such as actress Nicole Kidman, supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio, and Crawford’s daughter Kaia Gerber wear the Constellation and other OMEGA timepieces with pride.
