After a two year hiatus from New Zealand Fashion Week, NOM*d is back and they are kicking off NZFW with the first show of the day. Robertson talks Fashion Quarterly through her show itinerary.

5am: Take a bath, and finally decide what to wear! Can never do this the day before because I don’t know how I will feel, I’ve got two options in mind.

7am: Meet design team at Omni Bar at Pullman for an amazing power juice, pack the collection into the van, load up staff, and head down to the Viaduct Events Centre.

8.30: Distribute clothes to model racks and brief the dressers on the looks for each model. Ensure all garments are present and correct.

9am: Meet with drummers to go through sounds for runway, talk to Simon about the lighting, and make sure lighting is sufficient for our dark palette.

10am: Do walk through with models to gauge timing and finalise format.

10.30am: Dress models and ensure dressers are aware of next change.

11.00am: SHOWTIME!

11.30am: Pack down, ensuring all garments are correct.

12pm: Return to Pullman and set up sample collection for first buyer’s appointment.

7pm: Head off to Ponsonby Road for drinks and dinner with the team.

10pm: Sweet dreams
