The conversation surrounding body image is a familiar one for Jennifer Lawrence.

Having been criticized for her weight in the past, Jennifer Lawrence has managed to stay confident in her skin and is now speaking out about her so-called ‘curvy’ body. J Law is calling out Hollywood’s ridiculous obsession with body image in the May issue of Harper’s Bazaar, saying that she should not be considered curvy, especially in comparison to the average person. “I would like us to make a new normal-body type,” she says.

“Everybody says, ‘We love that there is somebody with a normal body!’ And I’m like, ‘I don’t feel like I have a normal body.’ I do Pilates every day. I eat, but I work out a lot more than a normal person. I think we’ve gotten so used to underweight that when you are a normal weight it’s like, ‘Oh, my God, she’s curvy.’ Which is crazy.”

Lawrence has always alluded that she doesn’t overly restrict herself when it comes to eating – she likes to live a balanced life and treat herself from time to time (verified recently by her former trainer, Dalton Wong).

Obviously this new development just makes us love J Law even more – we can’t help but admire her for keeping things real, speaking out and not giving into the pressure to be size 0 thin.
