New Zealand’s retail checklist just scored another major tick this week with the announcement that Italian luxury accessory brand Furla is about to open its first store in New Zealand. The news comes as a part of the launch of Auckland’s newest lifestyle precinct, Commercial Bay, which is set to open in 2019 – and we can’t wait!
Destination shopping just keeps getting better and better for Aucklanders, with popular Kiwi boutique Superette joining Furla by opening its fourth Auckland store in the bustling CBD waterfront location.
Also in the mix are Rodd & Gunn who will unveil their second ‘Lodge Bar’ concept, mixing men’s fashion with a chic bar and restaurant environment on the ground floor, and Canadian accessory brand Hershel Supply Co. will also open their first ever stand-alone New Zealand retail store.
These fashion brands join a stellar food line-up that includes Al Brown, Josh Emett and Burger Burger’s Mimi Gilmour who will all add their zest to the mix on the top floor.
Scott Pritchard, CEO of Commercial Bay’s developer, Precinct Properties, says “the announcement that Furla, Herschel, Rodd & Gunn and Superette are coming to Commercial Bay is an exciting next step for the development, but this is just the tip of the iceberg.”
“Precinct has secured several more new-to-New Zealand brands which we look forward to revealing closer to opening. There’s big news still to come as we work on curating a mix of outstanding retail in the CBD.”
So watch this space – and your credit card – because in time, Commercial Bay will have just over 100 retailers including 30 major retailers, 45 speciality retailers and 25 food and beverage outlets.
