Digital influencer and socialite Clare Andrew on her beauty routine

As a curator of fine things, Clare Andrew also has impeccable taste when it comes to beauty.

FQ: What is your morning skincare routine?
Clare: I always start the day with a large glass of water as I really believe beauty starts from within. Then I cleanse my face with La Mer Micellar Water which sweeps away any impurities without leaving my skin feeling dry. At the end of summer I am always left with a bit of unwanted pigmentation (don’t get me wrong, I love my freckles but sometimes they just need a little brightening!). I have recently discovered the La Mer Brilliance Brightening Mask, a two-step treatment that instantly brightens skin while diminishing discolouration. I pop this on and leave it for about 10 minutes or so, before moisturising with Crème de la Mer and starting my makeup routine.

And at night?
When I get home from work, one of the first things I do is cleanse my face again with La Mer Micellar water. There’s something about taking off your makeup at the end of the day that just feels so good! (That and jumping in a hot bath). Before bed I apply Estee Lauder Re-Nutriv Treatment Lotion followed by the Lifting Serum and dab the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Eye around my eyes.

What’s your philosophy on beauty?
I’m a strong believer that less is more and it’s much more elegant to subtly highlight your natural beauty than cake on make up.

How has your attitude to your appearance changed over the years?
You don’t always have to follow all the latest trends, it’s better to stick with what you know works for you.

What have you learnt about skin that you wish you had known when you were younger?
Always wear a hat in summer, no matter what!

What’s the latest trick you’ve learnt that’s changed up your beauty game?
As I am so fair I never thought I could wear bronzer but I’ve recently discovered that a tiny bit on my cheekbones makes them pop out and leaves my skin glowing and looking like it’s been kissed by the sun. Tom Ford does a gorgeous one called Gold Dust.

What’s the product you tell everyone about?
Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation. This is the only foundation I’ve come across that actually lasts as long as it says it will — and I’m talking 24 hours!

Lipgloss, lipstick or lip balm?
Lip balm during the day and lipstick at night.

What’s your guilty splurge?
Anything from Jo Malone London.
