Located in the heart of the city, The Auckland Art Gallery has a consistently impressive offering of exhibitions from both local and international artists. With the picturesque Albert Park as a backdrop, the gallery is an easy way to escape from the noisy, fast paced city to regain a sense of calm and treat your eyes to something beautiful. On Now: Billy Apple (14th March – 21st June) a large scale, in-depth look at the artists’ fascinating career from his early Pop work, through to his most recent branding and intellectual property investigations.

Aotea Square Ice Rink

This winter the Aotea Square Ice Rink will return for its fourth year running. An exciting way to liven up a cold winter’s day and an excuse to pull out your most chic winter warmers, the ice rink will be open from June 11th – July 19th so get your skates on!

Waiheke Island

Just a stone’s throw away from the Auckland CBD, Waiheke Island offers an array of activities from wine tasting at some of New Zealand’s top vineyards, feasting at the island’s impressive selection of restaurants, relaxing at a luxurious day spa or simply enjoying the islands breath taking views. With ferry’s running on the hour, Waiheke Island is the best way to ‘get out of town’ without the traffic.

New Zealand Fashion Week

NZFW 2015 will run from 24th-30th August and as always, the week will be jam packed with glamour from runway shows, parties and specialist hair and makeup demo’s to the much anticipated designer garage sale during Fashion Weekend. New Zealand’s most prestigious fashion event, NZFW should already be marked on your calendar.

New Zealand International Film Festival

This winter the NZIFF is set to grace our screens with a top quality line up of international cinema. The festival runs from July 16th – August 2nd and screenings are set to take place at a variety of top Auckland venues including The Civic Theatre, Rialto Cinemas and SKYCITY Theatre. The perfect way to spend a cool winters evening, register online to get your tickets because with a film selection like this – the event is a sure sell out.

Semi-Permanent Design Conference

This year’s Semi-Permanent Design conference is being held at the Victory Conventions Centre in Freemans Bay on the 3rd and 4th of July. With speakers ranging from Art Directors, Graphic Designers and Animators to our very own footwear designer Kathryn Wilson, the conference has something to stimulate all sorts of creative minds. With specialist workshops and after parties also in the mix, you definitely don’t want to miss Semi-Permanent 2015.
