So many fashion and beauty houses draw inspiration from the luxury brand Chanel, whose latest Spring/Summer 013-14 Cruise Show makeup is turning heads. Makeup artist Peter Philips says: “For this show, we went for a focus on the eyes. I have combined exaggerated graphic black eyeliner on the eyelid using Stylo Yeux Waterproof Noir Intense with an electric blue khol to underline the Stylo Yeux Waterproof in True Blue, a new shade from the 2013 Summer Collection.” Lashes were loaded with Chanel’s famous Inimitable Waterproof Noir Mascara in black, and eyebrows were gently enhanced with the Le Crayon Sourcils. But no makeup collection is complete without a perfect canvas for skin. Philips went for a natural and luminous finish using the Vitalumière Aqua foundation followed by a dusting of the new Les Beiges sheer powder. To finish the look, he applied a subtle peach blush, Joues Contraste in Frivole, also from the new Spring collection. “So as not to distract the attention from the eyes, I kept the lips natural using only the lip balm Rouge Coco baume.”
