Australian actress Cate Blanchett’s latest role has been revealed and this time around it does not involve the silver screen. The Oscar award winner is the newest celebrity to join a star-studded line-up of Emma Stone, Zhou Dongyu, and Deepika Padukone as an ambassador for the luxury French fashion house Louis Vuitton.

To mark Blanchett’s appointment, the iconic actress will bring the maison’s stunning new high jewellery collection ‘Spirit’ to life in a series of breathtaking imagery.

Captured by photographer Sølve Sundsbø, Blanchett has been adorned in the most show-stopping jewels imaginable for the new campaign.

“I am extremely excited to have this opportunity to collaborate with Louis Vuitton – a truly iconic House with an enormous cultural reach,” says Blanchett.

“To wear the magnificent pieces created by Francesca Amfitheatrof is a bedazzling pleasure, and Nicolas Ghesquiere, as ever, amazes and inspires me.”

The high jewellery ‘Spirit’ campaign featuring Blanchett will launch in print on 2nd July.
