The film tracks Cara’s life from full-time model to professional actress.

The documentary, entitled The Cara Project, looks at Cara Delevingne’s career transition from sought-after supermodel to acclaimed Hollywood actress.

The film, which has been acquired by Revolver Entertainment, will be released on DVD and will be available on-demand in the US and Canada.

Variety reports there are also plans to offer the documentary for sale at broadcasting trade shows in the coming months.

While the model’s meteoric rise to fame may seem like an overnight sensation, London-born Delevingne, has been in front of a camera since she was 10 years old.

Her career took off in 2009 – just a few short years later – after she was officially ‘discovered’ and signed for Storm by Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Model Management, who had previously discovered Kate Moss.

She would go on to fronting campaigns for all the major design labels including Burberry, Chanel, Fendi and Saint Laurent as well as walking for every major fashion house.

In 2015 she broke into acting as a lead character in Paper Towns, and has since landed roles in Suicide Squad and Pan.

Cara will also star in Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets set to be released in July 2017 alongside Rihanna, Clive Owen and Ethan Hawke.

On her decision to shift from modelling to acting, Cara previously told WWD: “I’m just going to be taking my time and doing things that I really care about, you know, parts that I really enjoy. But we’ll see. I don’t know. I never want to expect anything of the future, I just want to kind of try my best and see what happens.”
