A 24/7 ‘hotline’ can answer all your wine worries.

Whether you are thirsty for more wine knowledge or just don’t want to embarrass yourself with the bottle you bring to a barbeque, a new helpline headed by Villa Maria will help you to the best of their renowned ability.

Run by the wine company’s chief winemaker Nick Picone and executive chef Robert Baxter, the helpline hopes to rid New Zealanders of the anxiety associated with wine selection during the silly season.

“We put a lot of effort into the Christmas season and ultimately we aim to impress family and friends,” says Nick. “But, unless we’re wine connoisseurs, it can be daunting finding that perfect wine to gift or match with food.”

But this isn’t your traditional hotline. The hashtag, #VillaMariaHelpline is favoured over a dial tone. Villa Maria will reply to this hashtag across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

The #VillaMariaHelpline is open now until Friday 6 January 2017.
