Suede season has officially hit the northern hemisphere, putting us here in New Zealand in a bit of a sartorial dilemma. Jackets are, without a doubt, a cornerstone of any autumn/winter wardrobe, but as we head into warmer months, the necessity of one starts to feel less pressing. While brands like Zara and COS offer some great (and more affordable) options, don’t discard vintage stores. Brown suede jackets were a defining look of the ’70s, so it’s likely you’ll find something with authentic, pre-loved charm. That’s where I’ll be heading—stat.
