The sisters’ aren’t about to let Blac Chyna become a Kardashian without a fight.

Blac Chyna faces a legal battle if she wants to trademark her new name, with the Kardashian sisters saying her name change will tarnish the brand.

Lawyers acting for the reality star filed a trademark application that would allow the reality star to trade under the name “Angela Renée Kardashian”.

But People reports the Kardashian sisters are opposed to this, and have taken legal action to block the new name.

Blac claims that by legally trademarking her new name, she’ll protect her livelihood as a social media celebrity.

The reality star (whose real name is Angela Renée White) is engaged to Rob Kardashian and recently gave birth to a new daughter, Dream.

Lawyer Walter Mosley, acting for the star, told People the sisters’ opposition to Blac registering the name as a trademark wasn’t something he’d expected.

“Everything has been fantastic between her and the family to the best of my knowledge, so this is a shock. Thus, I’m under the belief that it’s a misunderstanding,” he said.

According to documents obtained by TMZ the Kardashians claim they’ll “suffer damage including irreparable injury to their reputation and goodwill” if their future sister-in-law were to profit from the name change.

Mosley also revealed the lawsuit to void Blac’s application showed how strongly the sisters’ felt about others using family name.

“In the complaint they are not short of shy as to how they feel about Angela using the trademark,” the lawyer said.

While Blac’s marriage to Rob would allow her to use the Kardashian name, it remains to be seen whether she’ll legally be allowed to trade under it.
