We're officially half way through Australian Fashion Week . Here’s what we loved from Aje’s AAFW collection.

Marking 15 years since their inception, Australian fashion house Aje debuted their newest collection for Resort ‘24 on the runway at Afterpay Australian Fashion Week yesterday. Titled Element, the collection was showcased at the new Sydney Modern Project, Art Gallery of New South Wales, serving as a vibrant tribute to the brand’s enduring design codes that have shaped its journey.

In a nod to the brand’s Australian origins and its continued global expansion, co-founder and CEO Adrian Norris expressed, “As we expand globally, it feels significant to emphasise our Australian origins and core design codes with this collection. We’ve pioneered coastal-to-urban style for 15 years. While it is an ethos that has long resonated with our local customer, it’s also gaining rapid traction with international Aje women who are looking to embody Australian style.”

Paying homage to the brand’s roots with a colour palette ranging from rich raspberry and lime hues to understated neutrals, there were many signature pieces reimagined with a fresh lens. Renowned for their tactile designs, each look was texture-centric, with garments featuring plissé pleats and exaggerated ruffles among the line up. In a collaboration between the brand and Outland Denim, there were two limited edition denim looks that appeared on the runway – both of which will be available in a sustainable capsule launching in December this year. And while we may be heading towards winter here, Aje gave us a glimpse of summer optimism through their first-ever swimwear designs, made from ottoman rib knitwear and elevated with gold metal accents.

Although we don’t know the collection’s official release date yet, we have our sights set on pre-ordering some of these coveted pieces.
