If there was ever a morning to indulge in a little French fantasy, this was it. Fashion Quarterly, together with Glasshouse Fragrances, welcomed guests into Lilian’s Private Dining Room for a très chic Parisian affair celebrating Glasshouse Fragrances’ limited-edition Oui Oui Emily candle. Created in collaboration with Emily in Paris, the launch arrived just ahead of the highly anticipated new season, landing today, Thursday 18 December.
The intimate space was transformed into a scene that felt lifted straight from Paris. Champagne flowed early (as it should), baguettes were torn and passed across the table, and French-inspired pastries from Mother added a touch of indulgence to the morning. It was polished but playful – a brunch that had the infectious energy and effortless glamour Emily Cooper herself would approve of.
At the centre of it all was Oui Oui Emily (Nude Violette & Praline), a candle that captures the spirit of Emily in Paris in scent, style and attitude. Designed as a love letter to Paris, the fragrance opens with bright, juicy top notes of lychee, peach, pear and raspberry before revealing a romantic heart of rose and violet buds. The base is unapologetically indulgent, layering patchouli, vanilla, caramel and praline into a lingering, warm finish.
The 380g candle is housed in a striking illustrated vessel adorned with fashion silhouettes inspired by the show’s couture aesthetic. Hand-poured using premium soy wax and natural cotton wicks, Oui Oui Emily reflects Glasshouse Fragrances’ commitment to craftsmanship, quality and fragrance that goes further than scent alone.
“Emily in Paris embodies everything we love – style, confidence, and that sense of play,” says Nicole Eckels, Founder and CEO of Glasshouse Fragrances. “Fragrance is fashion’s invisible accessory; it completes the look and elevates the moment. This collaboration was the perfect way to begin celebrating our 20th year and our belief that fragrance can go further – inspiring creativity, confidence, and joy.”
As guests mingled over champagne flutes and flaky pastry crumbs, the mood was unmistakably Parisian – charming, fashion-forward, and filled with a little French je ne sais quoi. Proof that sometimes, all it takes is good fragrance, great company, and a confident ‘oui oui’ attitude to feel like the main character.
