Here are Sarah Murray’s must-have items that will see you through the warmer months and beyond.

1. The heels

Nelson Made ‘Pillar Mini’ heels in butter

With there being more of a relaxed vibe post-summer holidays, a mini heel really is the best. These heels are so low they’re almost part-sandal, part-high heel, with a little lift to add elevation to your outfit.

2. The shorts

Levi’s ‘High Loose’ shorts in indigo

The perfect pair of denim shorts are hard to find, but for me, these are it! High rise, but loose around the leg, they’re easy to wear with a shirt or singlet to the beach, or out and about. I also love this deep indigo colour which is a classic.

3. The dress

Ruby ‘Jordan Linen’ slip in blush

I adore a good slip dress all year round, but they’re at their best in summer when it’s almost too hot to wear anything too fussy or flouncy. I love this effortlessly sleek one in soft pink linen (instead of the often seen silk fabric), which features a halter neck tie.

4. The shirt

Witchery cotton shirt in white

Even though the season calls for t-shirts and singlets, I can never go past a classic white shirt to tuck into shorts, loosely tie over a slip dress, or wear over your bikini on the beach. My preference is always crisp and white, like this classic cotton one

5. The hat

Marle ‘Oma’ hat in ivory

Fans of the brand will know the Oma hat is the slightly wider brimmed offering to their ever-popular Nona hat. I love how this one can be worn as is, or you can flip the brim up at the front for a different look.
