She’s an independent woman

It’s been a while since The Weeknd and Selena Gomez got together, and TBH we’re still not over it. Bella Hadid, The Weeknd’s ex-girlfriend, on the other hand has well and truly moved on, rising above the media drama.

She’s totally coping and isn’t devastated at all, despite E! News reporting that the new couple dropped the ‘L-bomb’ during last week’s Met Gala event which Bella was present at.

“It’s like I’m finally getting to the point where I can just think about what I want to do and the places I want to go,” the 20-year-old model told Grazia in a new interview. “I want to be as independent as possible and worry about myself rather than anyone else.”

Bella’s the literal definition of ‘you do you’ RN, so props to her!

After her very public breakup with The Weeknd late last year, Bella opened up to Teen Vogue about the emotional toll their split took on her – but she didn’t have a bad word to say about the Starboy singer:

“It was my first breakup—or second, next to the horse—and so public. As an outsider, you might think I handled it so well,” she admitted, “but it’s always in your heart, and you always feel it very heavily. It’ll be hard for a while. Love hurts, but you have to pull through.”

“I’ll always respect him, and I’ll always love him,” she said. “Sometimes you want to be sad about it or handle it differently, but at the end of the day, you never want to burn a bridge that you’ve fought so hard to build.”

Bells is so classy in the way she conducts herself and is eternally respectful. Don’t you just love her?
