We all know statement brows are at the top of everyone’s beauty wishlist right now.
If you’re after ‘wow’ brows and want to support other women, then get along to any Benefit boutique this month, where you’ll not only come out looking good, you’ll feel great.
Every May the cosmetic company offers its customers the chance to help out other women by donating $15 from each in-store brow service for its Bold is Beautiful project.
The global campaign, initiated by Benefit, has been in action since 2015. The project’s goals are to give back to women and girls in communities all over the world, whether through providing safe accommodation, emotional support or beauty workshops for cancer patients.
Last year the campaign raised $3.4 million by waxing a total of 209,019 brows! And this year the project has grown even further by expanding across 17 countries, with the aim of distributing funds to 34 local charities.

New Zealand’s charity is Look Good Feel Better, a not-for profit organisation that provides free classes for women who are affected by cancer treatment. These classes focus on the visible side effects of treatment, such as hair loss (including eyebrows and eyelashes) and other skin-related issues.
Two hours spent in a Look Good Feel Better class provides the opportunity for women to relax, have fun and feel special while doing something practical and connecting with others who may be experiencing something similar.

So all you need to do to help is simply step inside any Benefit outlet – Ponsonby Road’s standalone boutique or the counters at Smith and Caughey’s Queen Street and Newmarket in Auckland, Ballantynes in Christchurch and David Jones in Wellington – and you’ll not only walk out with brows that will be the envy of all your friends, but you will also help improve the lives of other women.
Be sure to book an appointment (or two) before the month is out.
