Facebook Stories are a THING

Another week, another tech company trying to one-up its competitors!

In case we didn’t have enough selfie platforms going on with Snapchat and Instagram stories, Facebook announced on Tuesday that it has decided to launch its very version.

The Facebook Stories feature will come with this week’s app update on iOS and Android phones. Users will be able to swipe right on their news feed to access the “camera” feature, or tap the camera icon in the top left corner, just like you already do with Instagram.

Facebook Stories

The most exciting part of all is that Facebook Stories will offer face-recognising masks, effects and interactive filters! Because we ALWAYS need more filters in our lives, right?!

Facebook Stories

Like your other favourite photo platforms, your video or image post will last for 24 hours before disappearing. However, you will have the option of saving it to your news feed, too. As well as that, you’ll be able to DM stories to certain friends – a handy tool if you don’t want your crush to see you pulling faces!

As of March 28, it sounds like we’ll be sharing selfies double-time! But we ain’t complaining…
