Pretty in (millennial) pink
On Wednesdays we wear pink… and every other day for that matter. But we don’t wear just any old shade of pink, we wear Millennial Pink.
In case you’re like, ‘WTF is Millennial Pink?’ Let’s have a quick rundown.
This pastel baby pink hue is essentially a toned-down version of its sister tone, Barbie Pink – but it’s also commonly referred to as ‘Tumblr Pink’ and ‘Scandi Pink’.
It’s a constant sell-out in retail land, with items of this colour often being the first to fly off the shelf. Think Glossier, Vetements, Fenty and many, many more who have reached cult status.
According to The Cut, “50 percent of millennials believe that gender runs on a spectrum” and it’s a well known fact that Millennial Pink represents our generation’s attitude to gender neutrality and equality. It’s a shade that isn’t just reserved for girls, giving us yet another reason to love it.
Here are 15 Millennial Pink items we’re adding to our shopping carts… and not closing the browser window on.
