If you were holding out to see Beyoncé at Coachella, you’re going to be gutted to hear that it won’t be in 2017. You’ll have to wait at least another year – but it’s for a good reason, we promise.
Due to Queen Bey being heavily pregnant with twins, her doctors have advised her to chill out and take it easy, resulting in her decision to cancel her set as the headline act on April 15 and 22 at the annual festival. However, she will return in 2018 instead!
Bey’s representatives, Parkwood Entertainment company, and Goldenvoice, the company that produces Coachella, released the following statement this morning:
“Following the advice of her doctors to keep a less rigorous schedule in the coming months, Beyoncé has made the decision to forgo performing at the 2017 Coachella Valley Music & Arts Festival. However, Goldenvoice and Parkwood are pleased to confirm that she will be a headliner at the 2018 festival. Thank you for your understanding.”
This would have been the first time Beyoncé had performed at Coachella. A replacement artist is yet to be confirmed.
For those who hadn’t planned on ticking ‘Chella off the bucket list this year, at least you’ve got another 365 days to save for 2018, right!?
