It’s been two months since we announced our Make It Happen It Girls in association with Maybelline New York, so what have they been up to since they embarked on their journeys?

Katie Rose Clausen, our aspiring tattoo artist, is here to fill everyone in on her amazing experiences so far – check out her video, above!

To recap:

  • Katie has met with Dan from Sacred Tattoo, one of the major tattoo shops in town. Dan talked to her about his career, and has given her some advice to nab an apprenticeship. Katie will be creating some ‘flash’ tattoos, and Dan has offered to improve them to ensure they’ll show up well as body art.
  • Katie and Rhyana are collaborating on designing a printed tee which will soon be sold – watch this space!
  • She caught up with the crazy and hilarious Otis Frizzell, who is a taco entrepreneur (The Lucky Taco – best tacos in town!), artistic innovator, NZ personality and tattooist.
  • Katie also spent some time with James Dobson, the man behind fashion label Jimmy D.

Katie Rose was diagnosed with Stage 3A Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma on Christmas Eve, 2015. You can donate to her Givealittle Chemo fund here.
