When women like Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor have flaunted a coloured pout as their trademark, it’s little wonder that lipstick screams sex appeal. It’s a true symbol of femininity and power that dates back thousands of years and shows no signs of fading. So what is it about this pocket sized pop of colour that has us so commited? L’Oreal Paris make-up director Lisa Matson says wearing lipstick is like having your own personal signature. “It’s a fantastic way to own your femininity, sophistication, beauty and confidence.”
