The Child Cancer Foundation is holding its inaugural ‘Wig Wednesday’ this June 22, and what better way to get inspired than to go through the archives of some of our favourite films.
Whether you’re a Foxxy Cleopatra or a Joe Dirt, you’ll be the life of the office while supporting a worthy cause. Based on the successful fundraising campaign run by the UK’s leading cancer charity for children, young people and their families – CLIC Sargent – the Child Cancer Foundation is encouraging schools and businesses to support children with cancer by taking part in this colourful day.
Each week more than three children in New Zealand are diagnosed with cancer and at any given time the Child Cancer Foundation is assisting more than 500 families’ nationwide – offering support in hospital, at home and in the community.
The Foundation aims to reduce the impact of cancer by offering tailored, practical services that ensure children and their families are supported, informed and remain connected at every stage of their cancer journey.
As a stand-alone charity, the Child Cancer Foundation receives no direct funding from the government, so it relies on the generosity of New Zealanders to support its cause.
