With her Californian sun-kissed looks, a low-key-yet-insanely-cool closet and a girl squad consisting of Cara Delevingne, Kendall Jenner and Taylor Swift, model Gigi Hadid has quickly risen to the top of girl crush lists everywhere.
It would seem she is at the top of a few other lists too – namely Sir Philip Green’s – and, let’s face it, that’s the one list every young aspiring model wants to be on. Today, he and his Arcadia Group named Gigi as the latest face to be added to Topshop’s stellar roster of ambassadors.
“Working with Gigi Hadid on this campaign continues to strengthen our international vision for the Topshop brand. We are continually developing our footprint across all markets with ambitious plans both in the UK and internationally and I feel like Gigi is an ideal ambassador to underpin these efforts,” says Sir Philip.
And let’s not forget the girl has 4.9 million Instagram followers – that can’t hurt, right?
Gigi, most recently seen in campaigns for Tom Ford, Balmain and Max Mara, joins the likes of Cara, Jourdan Dunn and Kate Moss to model for the high street behemoth and will be seen in the upcoming Autumn Winter 2015 campaign in a series of images styled by Topshop’s creative director, Kate Phelan and shot by photographer, Tyrone Lebon.
