5 things we loved this week

By Fashion Quarterly

Sun-soaked resort dressing, a beloved seaside classic, 90’s style revival and next-level wellness - these are the moments we’re loving this week.

1. Strength in softness

Harris Tapper’s Resort 2026 balances softness with structure and ease with edge. Inspired by vintage bedwear, the collection reimagines slips, ribbons, and satins through a lens of modern strength. Airy chiffon and glistening textures meet crisp shirting and sculptural silhouettes, while hand-beaded accessories and pearl accents ground each look with intention. Every piece speaks to duality – refined yet raw, effortless yet precise – capturing the beauty of composure in motion and reaffirming Harris Tapper’s signature: timeless design with a quietly powerful confidence.

2. It’s a RUBY summer

RUBY closes the year with a sun-soaked love letter to home, fronted by Dream Rubette Riley Hemson. Inspired by the spirit of the ‘60s, Creative Director Deanna Didovich delivers a collection that radiates colour and texture: tequila sunrise florals, studded denim, and playful linen and knit favourites made for long, golden days. It’s a celebration of summer in our own backyard – vibrant, nostalgic, and unmistakably RUBY. Resort 2025 Drop 1 arrives in-store and online Thursday 16 October.

3. By the sea

Takapuna Beach Cafe’s Fish & Chip Shop returns for a second summer, bringing its refined take on a Kiwi classic back to the shore. The expanded menu features John Dory, Hapuka, and Blue Cod served crumbed or battered, alongside whitebait fritter butties, calamari rolls, seafood baskets and deep-fried pineapple-lump chocolate fish. Using sustainably line-caught seafood and quality ingredients, it’s fish and chips done the Takapuna Beach Cafe way – simple, nostalgic and best enjoyed beachside.

4. Original Forever

adidas and Oasis have joined forces for the ‘Original Forever’ campaign, celebrating three decades of shared style and cultural influence. Ahead of the Oasis Live ‘25 global tour, the campaign film, directed by Leigh Powis and created with Johannes Leonardo, brings iconic moments from Knebworth to Heaton Park to life, scored by the band’s classic ‘Live Forever’. The accompanying adidas Originals x Oasis Live ‘25 collection reimagines ‘90s staples – tracksuits, raglan jerseys, bucket hats, and coach jackets – available now in-store, online and at tour venues worldwide.
