New Zealand content creator and fashion favourite Rosalie Burns has unveiled her first capsule collection – ‘Lovers of the World’ – in collaboration with Australian heritage label JAG.
A love letter to travel, simple pleasures, the 10-piece collection features a curated edit of beautifully made wardrobe staples, including oversized white shirts, custom-embroidered denim and matching wool sets.
“I’ve worked with the JAG team for a few years now, creating content and styling their iconic denim,” Burns tells FQ. “When they approached [my husband] Myles and I about designing a capsule—in my gut it just felt right and I knew we’d have so much fun with it. I trusted Katie, the lead designer, from the very beginning – she’s beyond talented and we were aligned right from the start.
Each piece in the collection is designed to be worn all year round – layered up for a New Zealand winter or packed in a suitcase for Euro summer.
“This is really important to me, as my favourite pieces in my wardrobe are trans-seasonal and versatile, exactly what this capsule has become,” Burns says. “When I thought about what pieces I’d love to design – even before this collaboration came into play – my mind went to oversized shirts, denim with subtle embroidery and tee’s.”
Among her personal favourites? “The bomber jacket and the skirt,” she says. “But it’s no lie when I say I wear all the pieces from the collection all the time. That’s what makes me so excited about this – I love the capsule so much.”
After almost two years of planning and design, Burns is thrilled that the collection is finally here. “I haven’t had any doubts in the whole process, it’s been pure excitement and anticipation,” she says. “JAG is a brand I’ve always trusted with their designs, fabrics and manufacturing. Deep down I just knew we’d create something so fun together – and now the time is finally here to share that with all of you.”
