1. Let’s get physical
Ticking all the boxes with their fitness and wellness offerings is new boutique gym Mode Studio, the latest addition to Tāmaki Makaurau’s Ponsonby suburb. Combining world-class group training classes, with a private gym and luxury contrast therapy facilities ( infrared saunas and ice baths), Mode helps you hit your fitness goals while enhancing your wellbeing. This innovative space, and brainchild of personal trainer Samantha Bluemel, stands out as the first space in Aotearoa to offer a purpose-built treadmill studio that blends treadmill-based cardio with meticulously planned strength development. With small classes capped at 10-20 attendees, each day of the week will focus on a different muscle group, ensuring that members have variation in their routines and proper rest and recovery between sessions. Architecturally designed to offer a fully immersive experience, Mode Studio aims to reshape the way we think about and invest in our health, leaving you feeling uplifted and invigorated after every visit.
Mode Studio is open now at 202 Ponsonby Road, Auckland. Find out more here.
2. Suits you
You can never underestimate the sartorial power of a matching suit. Expert tailoring and timeless cuts have long been synonymous with Juliette Hogan’s label, and this season, the brand has welcomed a new foundational suiting capsule complete with nine monochromatic styles that will blend seamlessly into your existing wardrobe. With a vision to transcend both seasons and trends, each piece within the capsule was designed for easy styling during both the warm and cooler months of the year. Striking the balance between masculine and feminine, there are two trouser options: the fitted and flared Francesca Pant and classic straight leg Emery Pant, which are made to pair with either the double-breasted Bernadette Blazer or the single button Peak Tuxe Jacket. For those wanting to add a contemporary touch to their suiting ensembles, the collection also features the Vince Vest — a loosely tailored waistcoat that can be worn on its own with pants or styled underneath a blazer. Offered in sizes 4 through 16, the capsule will be available year-round in all Juliette Hogan stores.

Aotearoa’s acclaimed The Facialist has completed its eponymous skincare collection. Joining their frequently sold out Glow Oil and Super Skin Cleansing Oil is the Super Serum and Perfect Cream, giving you everything you need for an effective at-home regimen. “Super Serum is a true overachiever in any skincare routine,” says founder Ashleigh Scott, who produced the range in a bid to deliver transformative results using science-based natural ingredients. “A little goes a long way in transforming a dull, lacklustre complexion into a dewy and radiant one.” The Perfect Cream uses a blend of prebiotics, niacinamide, ceramides, jojoba, mamaku fern, red seaweed, bakuchiol and more to firm, hydrate, nourish and protect your skin. “It is hydrating without feeling heavy, nourishing, plumping, and brimming with naturally active ingredients that work to even skin tone and texture,” Scott adds. If there’s one thing we’ve taken away from our experience with these new product powerhouses, it’s that they live up to their names.
Perfect Cream and Super Serum are available to purchase in-store from The Facialist, their exclusive retail partners, and online at thefacialist.co.nz

Grounded in effortless minimalism, New York-based luxury label Proenza Schouler have joined forces with Vans in a chic collaboration. Influenced by the worlds of art and design, Proenza Schouler has drawn on Vans’ iconic skateboarding heritage to release a luxury take on their classic slip-on. Experimenting with exaggerated proportions and fine leather materials, Proenza Schouler have imbued the puffy slip-on with their unique brand codes, resulting in a shoe that is equal parts stylish and versatile. “A shared appreciation for strong design and fine craftsmanship informed the project from beginning to end,” said Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, Creative Directors and Co-Founders of Proenza Schouler. “We couldn’t be more excited to finally share this project with all of you today.” The campaign, which was shot by Alessio Bolzoni and styled by Kiwi-born stylist Thistle Brown, contrasts the soft texture of the Slip-On with urban elements of New York. Available in sleek ecru and black colourways, the slip-on would make a tasteful addition to your winter footwear rotation.
The Vans x Proenza Schouler Puffy Slip-On retails for $239.99 are available now vans.co.nz
