1. On the nose
We’ve long been fans of New Plymouth based fragrance brand The Virtue and for 2024 they’ve given their travel perfumes a chic makeover. Originally available in a 10ml roll on size, the brand is now offering their mini parfums in a sleek new 15ml glass spray bottle, making them the ultimate companion for your carry on. With six unique fragrances to choose from, why not delight your significant other this Valentine’s Day by gifting them a pint sized fragrance for their purse?
The Virtue’s travel range is available in their New Plymouth store and online now.
2. Fungi fever
For autumn, Deadly Ponies is diving deep into the world of Surrealism with their latest collection ‘Fun Guy’ — a celebration of the weird, wonderful and whimsical nature of Fungi. Drawing on a palette of mainly earthy hues like shiitake, milk, and porcini, you’ll also find unexpected pops of vibrance throughout the range in the form of tomato reds, glacier blues and delicate thistle pinks. Pleated calf details feature heavily throughout the collection, mimicking the delicate undersides of oyster mushrooms, while the use of sumptuous bulle and suede leather are a nod to the mushroom’s textured tops. With brand new footwear and bag silhouettes on their way too, we’re already building a mental wishlist for our autumn wardrobes.
The collection is available in-store and online from February.
3. An ode to love
Dream duo Anja Bucher and Lu Blade-Bittle turned the local lingerie game on its head when they launched their label Ohen late last year. Debuting four exquisite bra styles upon their initial release, the brand hinted that there would be more on the way soon — and they’re finally here. Arriving just in time for Valentine’s Day, the brand has now introduced ‘The Balconette’ to its evergreen range — a chic, square cut bra featuring layers of scalloped lace. “The Balconette felt like the most considered next step in the collection,” said co-founder and designer Anja Bucher. “It’s a little more romantic with the softness of the scallop lace edge, whilst still paying homage to the ’90s minimalism we love.” Like all of Ohen’s lingerie, The Balconette is crafted from their signature buttery-soft modal, while the lace is made using mainly recycled nylon. Available in three classic colourways to complement every skin tone, we think that they’d make a perfect Valentine’s gift to yourself.

4. Taking shape
While the current hot weather doesn’t warrant contemplation about autumn dressing, it always pay to think ahead. For their newest collection ‘Formation’, Moochi is embracing a quiet luxury aesthetic, debuting understated silhouettes that place equal importance on form and function. Feminine details are peppered throughout in the form of structured lines, gentle draping and sheer lace, while their classic oversized tailoring adds a touch of versatility and androgyny. With a colour palette ranging from deep shades of charcoal, merlot and mineral green to playful pops of sangria red and dusky pink, it offers an easy transition into the chillier months.
Formation is available to shop in-store and online now.
5. Sweet tooth
What’s Easter without a little indulgence? It may be too early to bring out the hot cross buns (contrary to what your local supermarket may have you believe), but the team at Whittaker’s have already made them into chocolate form with the release of their latest flavour, Choc Cross Bun. Crafted using Whittaker’s signature Creamy Milk chocolate, the limited-edition block features hot cross bun-inspired ingredients, including natural mixed spice, raisins and orange oil, resulting in a deliciously fragrant, moreish treat. Like all of Whittaker’s limited-edition flavours, it’s likely to fly off shelves, so if you fancy yourself a little sugar and spice, be sure to get in quick.
Whittaker’s limited-edition Choc Cross Bun 250g Block will be available in stores nationwide from February 5th.
