5 Things Our Editors Loved This Week - 24 April 2023

1. Raine supreme

Wedding bells on the horizon? The latest collection from Kiwi bridal label Hera Couture is sure to be on the wish list of any bride-to-be. Titled ‘La Raine’ after the Latin term for ‘The Queen’, the collection’s gowns exude serious regal energy. Designed to highlight every bride’s power and confidence, details like intricate hand pleating, drapery and figure-hugging silhouettes are among key features of the collection. Luxurious fabrics such as royal organza and crush satin provide a sense of opulence and royalty to each gown, giving the wearer a chance to have her Queen moment.

2. Put it in neutral

We’re shifting into neutral gear this autumn with Marle’s newest collection ‘The Night is New’. In typical Marle fashion, this drop ushers in a palette of rich rum raisin, ivory and black in soft and structured pieces. Luscious merino, mohair, and cashmere styles are among the key fabrications cut in flattering shapes to artfully drape on the body. Fusing relaxed tailoring with elegant daywear, those looking for a new selection of minimalist staples can delight in this dreamy drop.

3. Entertainer’s dream

Revered for their contemporary rock n’ roll clothing and iconic accessories comes a new era for Stolen Girlfriends Club who have introduced a new collection of glassware, candles and cushions. The candle range will include two enticing scents to suit all preferences: the Amber Dream candle, with notes of leather, amber, moss and wood, and the Beach Daze candle, with notes of coconut, cedarwood and vanilla. For the host with the most, the smoky grey glassware sets come in tumbler and shot glass styles and feature the brand’s signature embossed snake motif – the perfect way to give your home and edge. If your sights are set on colour, the Altered State Cushions come in three vibrant colourways echoing their clothing capsules made from a mohair and wool blend, suitable for cosying up on the couch in style.

4. Peachy keen

In the latest release by beauty and wellness hero Jeuneora comes SoWhippy, an ultra-hydrating prebiotic cream cleanser that helps to balance the skin’s complex microbiome. Formulated with winning ingredients like wattle seed, agave, kaolin clay and niacinamide, SoWhippy helps to gently remove dead skin cells and even the complexion. It’s believed that the use of prebiotics in you skincare can improve the skin’s barrier function, reducing the risk of inflammation and irritants, and provide you with plump, hydrated skin by promoting the growth of beneficial bacteria on the skin, ultimately increasing the production of ceramides which keep your skin balanced and hydrated. In addition to being vegan, cruelty-free, and dermatologist tested, SoWhippy also has a dreamy peach scent to match its minimalist packaging for an even more refreshing cleansing experience.
