By Fashion Quarterly

Each week the Fashion Quarterly team rounds up what to read, buy, see, shop, drink and eat.

1. Emilia Wickstead Spring Summer 21

Paying homage to her Samoan and Aotearoa roots, the South Seas are the inspiration behind Emilia Wickstead’s sublime SS21 collection.

The collection explores ’90s minimalism and traditional dress in the form of balloon sleeves, billowy florals, sweetheart necklines and crisp shirting.

Emilia Wickstead SS21 is exclusively available in New Zealand at Simon James.

2. Mother's Day with kingi x Isadia

Say it with brunch and a bouquet this mother’s day with a beautiful offering from kingi restaurant and Isadia for Sunday 9 May.

Whether it’s the oat hotcakes with walnut and raspberry or the mushroom bolognese with buffalo curd and sourdough, treat your mum to her choice from kingi’s a la carté breakfast menu. She’ll also receive a bouquet from Isadia, a floral design studio that takes an intuitive and naturalistic approach to its arrangements.

Reserve both a table and bouquet by booking at kingibritomart.com

3. A new circular beauty initiative: Re-Aleph

Are you feeling overwhelmed by your empties? You’ll be pleased to hear that sustainable luxury beauty brand Aleph has launched a new circular initiative Re-Aleph to save its jars from being single-use.

Partnering with Glass Packaging Forum, you can now drop off your Aleph empties at its stockists or pop them in the post. It’s a way to increase the number of times a single jar can be used and decrease the number of materials needed to produce new jars.
