The relevance of the oh-so-American Halloween tradition in New Zealand will always be up for debate. Children may be springing at the opportunity to overindulge in free candy while teens desperately try to look ‘sexy’ in costumes clinging to boo’s arm during horror films, but as we get older, it’s more of a fleeting hassle that comes and goes faster than a Maggie Marilyn sample sale. Besides, with Christmas so close, it’s easy to push the festivities out.
