Who wouldn’t want to get married under the Tuscan sun?

Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Kate Upton was all smiles as she wed her baseball fiancé Justin Verlander in Italy over the weekend.

The oh-so-romantic ceremony was held at an old medieval church overlooking the Montalcino Valley in Tuscany and was observed by a small group of family and friends.

Following the nuptials, guests proceeded on to the beautiful Rosewood Castiglion Del Bosco resort to continue the Tuscan celebrations. Rustic Italian vibes were certainly the theme of the day, and decorations reportedly included romantic touches of candles, nude florals and olive branches.

The bride wore a dreamy floor-length ivory gown with a sheer lace overlay, long sleeves and an abundant train designed by Valentino. Wavy hair and a flowing veil completed Kate’s look, with her natural nude makeup pairing perfectly with the bridesmaids’ blush-coloured tiered halterneck dresses from Needle and Thread.

Also on display was Kate’s envy-inducing custom-designed Anita Ko engagement ring which Justin used to propose during the 2016 Met Gala. Proposal inspiration anyone?

The couple both took to Instagram to celebrate their big day, displaying both their love and affection for each other as well as their family and friends.

Celebration was certainly in the air in the month leading up to big day with a win for Justin’s team, the Houston Astros, in the World Baseball series –  some might have taken that as a sure-fire sign that the stars were in alignment for the loved-up couple.
