1. Meadowlark's Latest Ceremonial Collection
Whether you’re actively ring shopping, still at the hinting stage, or simply in the market to celebrate yourself with a giant, gleaming rock on your fourth (or middle) finger, Meadowlark’s latest Ceremonial collection is where we’d begin. True to the brand’s sustainable ethos and high fashion meets rock and roll aesthetic, expect vintage-inspired designs with Art Deco echoes in your choice of 9ct, 18ct or 24ct gold or platinum. Featuring signature styles alongside four new designs as well as the brand’s first foray into lab grown diamond solitaires, each Ceremonial piece is modified to your taste – be it decorative and ornate or minimalist and modern – before being made to order by some of Aotearoa’s most skilled jewellery artisans in Meadowlark’s Auckland atelier.

Luckily, the latest delivery of consciously-crafted, locally-made clothes from Mina is here to help us manifest this cold snap away. “With a sense of optimism for the upcoming season, I was reminiscing about verdant orchards, ripe summer fruit, morning swims and picnics on the lawn while designing this collection”, says founder Natalie Procter. All of that comes through in a number of playful and spirited styles showcasing vibrant shades of emerald green and tangerine, and easy-to-wear silhouettes perfect for throwing on after the aforementioned morning swim and pre-lawn picnic.

4. Saben goes circular with new giveback programme
The latest brand to embrace circularity within their design and manufacturing operations, local makers of luxury leather goods Saben have this week extended their existing mantra of ‘Care, Repair, Re-wear, Rent, Re-home’ with a brand new initiative to help further extend the life cycle of their bags while supporting a number of charities chosen by the Saben community alongside its founder, Roanne Jacobson. The gist is simple. Got a Saben bag no longer in your regular rotation? Submit it to Saben’s Giveback Program via an online form and receive $50 off your next Saben purchase for your contribution. Your pre-loved bag will then be sold at Saben’s annual archive sale – going on to live its best life with its lucky new owner – and 100% of the revenue from the sale will be donated to one of Saben’s charity partners. Win, win, win!
