1. Into the archives
This weekend, Claudia Li will hold her first-ever sample sale in New Zealand. From Friday 30th to Sunday 1st November, the world-renowned designer will take over The Shelter’s Ponsonby store, offering an unmissable selection of runway, atelier and production samples, along with past-season pieces from across the brand’s New York collections. The sale will also be live on The Shelter’s website – providing a rare opportunity for those not based in Auckland to shop the sample sale. This is one sale you won’t want to miss!
When: Friday 30th October – Sunday 1 November 2026 from 10am – 5pm
Where: The Shelter, 78 Mackelvie Street, Ponsonby.
2. Something to treasure
New Zealand jewellery label Meadowlark has expanded its offering with the launch of a new collection of jewellery boxes, arriving just in time for the festive season. Designed to house your most treasured pieces (and look rather lovely on your dresser), the boxes come in rich Merlot or playful Leopard, with two sizes to choose from. Available in limited quantities, consider this a thoughtful gift for the jewellery lover in your life, or a little treat for yourself.
3. Into the blue
Aotearoa lingerie label OHEN has unveiled its latest colourway, Cobalt, and it’s making a compelling case for bringing a little colour to your top drawer. Available now across a selection of the brand’s signature silhouettes, the rich, electric blue strikes the perfect balance between bold and understated. Expect the same flattering fits, clean lines and thoughtful detailing OHEN has become known for, now in a shade that deserves to be seen. Who said everyday lingerie had to play it safe?
4. House warming
Ponsonby’s Glassworks is getting a homely makeover this Friday, as New Zealand rug and soft furnishings label BAYA opens the doors to BAYA HOUSE Vol. 2 for one morning only. Dubbed House Warming, the immersive exhibition transforms the Ponsonby space into a series of rooms, each anchored by a rug from BAYA’s latest collection and showcasing work by emerging local creatives Matan Fadida, Courtney Petley, Sophie Poelman, Carina Webb and Levi Hawken. Styled by Kayla Jurlina, the space invites visitors to explore, meet the designers and enjoy coffee by Supreme, toast from Duo and a little creative inspiration.
When: Friday 30 October, 7.30am to 1pm
Where: Glassworks, 70 Mackelvie Street, Ponsonby (behind Deadly Ponies)
