1. The wait is over
One of the year’s most anticipated fashion collaborations is about to land. First teased on the Simone Rocha Autumn/Winter 2026 runway in London, adidas Originals by Simone Rocha marks the beginning of an ongoing partnership between the two — with Karen Walker exclusively stocking the range in New Zealand. Spanning ready-to-wear, footwear and accessories, Rocha reimagines adidas signatures through her romantic lens, balancing sportswear with bows, pearls, pleats, tulle and puffed sleeves. Footwear highlights include the bow-and-pearl-adorned Taekwondo ballerina and the Japan Slip, with its pony-hair-effect upper and sculptural, pearl-like Three Stripes. Even the adidas logo gets the Rocha treatment, appearing in sparkling embellishment across socks and diamanté brooches. Set your alarms: the collection launches at Karen Walker at 10am on Thursday, 10 September.
2. Take a dip
Ruby is diving into spring with Agua, a new capsule inspired by seasons spent by the water. Awash in aqua blues, turquoise and seafoam greens, the collection explores what designer Deanna Didovich calls “sporty-femme”, bringing athletic silhouettes together with distinctly feminine details. The Martha Maxi Dress, Coco Bodice and Rudi tank are perfect examples, balancing the two in a way that feels unmistakably Ruby. Even the setting followed suit: the campaign was captured by the Ruby team inside local creative Emile Drescher’s Tāmaki Makaurau workshop — a fitting backdrop for a collection centred on creativity, craft and the joy of making something new.
3. Turning the page
To mark its milestone anniversary, Kowtow has released The Unmaking Of, a limited-edition, 120-page coffee-table book reflecting on where the New Zealand label has been, what it has learned and, importantly, where fashion needs to go next. Part archive, part manifesto, it brings together stories, essays and imagery tracing two decades of questioning convention and imagining a different future for clothing. 4. Head in the clouds
First unveiled as part of The Studio show at NZFW, Oosterom’s SS26 collection ‘Cloud Watching’ SS26 is an ode to childhood curiosity and the joy of creating. The brand’s signature tailoring is softened by fluid silks, sheer layers and handcrafted Parisian trims, while bright pink, chocolate brown and cornflower blue bring a playful hit of colour. Our picks? The cornflower blue Ruffle Cami and matching skirt, alongside the Linear Dress, crafted from sheer ivory silk embroidered with a delicate grid pattern. Consider us happily daydreaming.
