2. A new home for Penny Sage
One of our favourite local slow‑fashion labels, Penny Sage, has unveiled its stunning new flagship at 598 Great North Road, Grey Lynn. Designed by Hatch Workshop, the space houses the brand’s full collection alongside a curated edit of apparel, homeware, and beauty from Aotearoa and beyond. To mark the opening, Penny Sage launches its Spring/Summer collection, The Green Ray, and Party Girl, an art series by Pōneke artist Briana Jamieson inspired by the SS25/26 fabrics.
3. Cashmere with a twist
Elle & Riley’s Lurex Cashmere brings a subtle shimmer to the brand’s signature soft cashmere. Metallic threads catch the light as you move, giving tanks, V-neck sweaters, and cardigans in champagne, cognac, and sapphire a gentle, effortless glow. The 8-piece collection turns familiar silhouettes into pieces that feel special in every moment. Designed to move with the body, these pieces are available now in boutiques and online.
4. From canvas to closet
Luxury accessories label Artifact joins forces with celebrated Kiwi artist Kelly Thompson for a limited-edition silk scarf collection that’s equal parts art and adornment. The five designs – Glade, Lush, Plume, Gilded, and Plume Plum – showcase Thompson’s intricate illustrations on rich 18mm silk twill, complete with hand-rolled hems and double-sided prints. Thoughtfully packaged and made in small numbers, the scarves capture Artifact’s signature craftsmanship while bringing Thompson’s distinctive, detailed world to life in wearable form.
